BEGIN YOUR MINDFULNESS JOURNEY

This isn’t your typical meditation class. This is an immersive 8-week journey, designed for anyone ready to go beyond surface-level stress management and transform how they relate to life’s challenges. Here, you’ll discover tools to cultivate awareness, build resilience, and reconnect with what truly matters. Whether you’re navigating daily stress or searching for deeper clarity, this is where mindfulness becomes a way of life.

REDUCE STRESS AND IMPROVE WELL-BEING WITH The gold standard of evidence-based mindful programs.

MBSR was developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn to help individuals respond more skillfully to stress, pain, and the demands of daily life. By cultivating present-moment awareness in an open, nonjudgmental way, MBSR empowers participants to take charge of their well-being and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and balance.

MBSR Program Snapshot

  • DURATION

The MBSR course spans 8 weeks with an orientation before the course begins. Weekly sessions are 2 ½-hours, and the program also includes an all-day session to provide an immersive experience.

  • FORMAT

This program is offered live online via Zoom, allowing you to participate from anywhere in the world. Sessions include guided practices, group discussions, and interactive learning.

  • COMMITMENT

Participants are encouraged to dedicate 45–60 minutes per day to mindfulness practice outside of class. This includes meditations, gentle yoga, and other exercises provided as part of the program.

BENEFITS OF MBSR

While each person’s experience is unique, participants often report better sleep, lower blood pressure, reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression, and improved pain management. MBSR helps individuals respond skillfully to stress, enhance focus and concentration, build resilience, and cultivate self-compassion.

By fostering mindfulness, the program encourages reduced rumination, improved emotional regulation, and a greater sense of well-being. Scientific research worldwide supports the profound impact MBSR can have on mental, emotional, and physical health, helping participants find clarity, balance, and connection in their daily lives.

― Excerpt from Full Catastrophe Living: Using the Wisdom of Your Body and Mind to Face Stress, Pain, and Illness by Jon Kabat-Zinn

“No matter how many scars we carry from what we have gone through and suffered in the past, our intrinsic wholeness is still here: what else contains the scars? None of us has to be a helpless victim of what was done to us or what was not done for us in the past, nor do we have to be helpless in the face of what we may be suffering now. We are also what was present before the scarring—our original wholeness, what was born whole. And we can reconnect with that intrinsic wholeness at any time, because its very nature is that it is always present. It is who we truly are.”

Brena Bessa
MBSR Teacher

Hi, I’m Brena, an MBSR teacher trained at Brown University with over 15 years of dedicated meditation practice, including transformative silent retreats and ongoing studies in mindfulness, psychology, and Buddhism.

Through my own journey, I’ve experienced the profound impact of mindfulness—learning to observe my thoughts and emotions without getting caught up in them, reducing stress and anxiety, and improving overall well-being. As an MBSR teacher, I’m passionate about helping others slow down, cultivate awareness, and develop the skills to navigate life with greater ease and resilience.

As Jon Kabat-Zinn says, “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” So, is your surfboard ready? Let’s explore how mindfulness can illuminate your path and help you tap into your inner resources to face life’s challenges with clarity and compassion.

"Awareness is like the sun. When it shines on things, they are transformed."
